Archives
Archives are multiple files, usually compressed to save bandwidth while
downloading, that are stored in one single file. You will need an archive
tool, such as WinZip, to be able to extract these files to your hard drive or local network
location. See your local system administrator for more assistance.
Self-Extracting Archive
Same as normal archives, but built into a tool that will extract all the files for
you, without the need for another archive tool. The self-extractor will
prompt you for a location to store the files, and extract all of the files to
that location. These download as an executable .exe file.
