Charles S. Chapel, Judge District No. 1

Appointed to the Court on January 12, 1993 and Retired from the Court on February 28, 2010. Lived in Tulsa for 26 years. Graduated from San Diego State University with a Bachelor of Science degree and received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Tulsa College of Law and his LLM degree from the University of Virginia. Served in U.S. Marine Corps 959-1963. Founded one of the largest firms in Tulsa over twenty-three years ago: Chapel, Riggs, Abney, Neal & Turpen. Named outstanding law student by OBA in 1968. Served as Adjunct Professor of Law at the University of Tulsa; Trustee for the Oklahoma Bar Association; Trustee to the Jenks Public Schools Foundation. Married and has three children.
